Ongoing Projects

  • FLY Maths Tutorials

    A three year old collaboration, involving the tutoring of mathematics at Realogile High School in Alexandra Township, as well as support in fundraising dinners, in Cape Town & Johannesburg.

  • Sanitary Towel Campaign

    This will be an ongoing project with Dignity Life Foundation, where the main focus is to teach girls about hygiene, personal conduct and general life skills; such as budgeting.

  • SSP Career Speed Dating

    A variety of grade 10 - 12 school learners get the opportunity to explore different career paths at a career speed-dating event held at Kingsmead College in Rosebank. The event was hosted by Student Sponsorship Programme (SSP) which is based in Parktown.

  • Raising Legends

    Raising Legends seeks to tackle the root cause of gender-based violence and perceived gender stereotypes in our society by focusing on the boy child. When boys are raised to be responsible men, fathers and husbands, they contribute to a safer society for women and families.

Past Projects

  • FLY Tablet Handover

    The Grind Foundation donated tablets to FLY’s matric pupils to enable them to access online content shared by FLY’s Cape Town arm. The pupils’ ability to access this academic content will not only help improve their performance in the final matric results, but will also ensure they get closer to being on an even footing with pupils from more advantaged schools.

  • Unified Public School Sanitary Towel Drive (with the Ogle Foundation)

    The Ogle Foundation visited Unified Public school in the Maraisburg area in Florida to deliver sanitary towels, courtesy of the Grind Foundation. It is a combined school from Grade R to 9, and it also has LSEN class.

  • Sanitary Towel Campaign (with the Ogle Foundation)

    This was a collaboration between the Grind Foundation and the Ogle Foundation, where The Grind Foundation assisted in donating sanitary pads to the Girls of Florida Primary School. This allowed them to continue attending school and not miss lessons, due to challenges around the lack thereof.

  • YOLO Youth Camp

    The Grind Foundation funded, a church based Youth organization - YOLO - to host a camp; focused on equipping the youth with the right training and development to allow them to reach their potential.

  • The Thabang Ka Mmino Art Project

    This Music & cultural project at St Matthews Primary School, is concerned with enabling and empowering children to become fully developed and integrated people.
